Maryland Crab Soup
Timbuktu's Maryland Crab Soup contains strings of crab meat along with tomatoes, potatoes, corn, onions, green beans, lima beans, peas and celery.
The vegetable base is is pretty decent, and the vegetables are at least fresh. But the smell of the soup doesn't quite scream out crab soup, and actually lacks any real amount of crab taste. Maybe not spiced enough, or quite possibly not a home recipe. There are shakers of Old Bay present at the tables, which we found was quite necessary to make up for the lack of flavor. But even then, it still isn't the same as having those spiced cooked into the soup. The crackers served alongside the soup are too sweet, although the salt from the crackers helps to open up the soup.
